The terms of our engagement.

1. The service

One Rule is a management-layer platform for law firms. It does not replace your case management or accounts system; it provides a live operational view across departments.

2. Acceptable use

• You will use One Rule only for the lawful management of your firm.
• You will not attempt to circumvent access controls, reverse engineer the platform, or use it to benchmark identifiable third-party firms.
• You will keep account credentials confidential and notify us promptly of any suspected compromise.

3. Your data

Your firm retains ownership of all data it enters into One Rule. We process it on your instructions to provide the service, as set out in our privacy policy and the data processing addendum to the Master Subscription Agreement.

4. Availability

We target 99.9% monthly availability outside scheduled maintenance. Maintenance windows are notified in advance and are scheduled outside UK working hours wherever possible.

5. Fees and term

Subscription fees are agreed in writing with each firm. Subscriptions renew annually unless terminated on 30 days' written notice before the end of the term.

6. Confidentiality

Each party will treat the other's confidential information with the same care it applies to its own, and will not disclose it except as required to deliver the service or by law.

7. Liability

One Rule provides management information. Decisions taken on the basis of that information remain the responsibility of the firm's partners. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited under English law.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
